Grantham academy students enter the world of work

PUPILS of a Grantham secondary school have undertaken some fascinating roles to gain work experience, from kitchen hand to forensic scenes of crime officer.

Eighty Year 10 pupils of West Grantham Academy St Hugh’s undertook two weeks’ work experience, working at a variety of businesses across Grantham.

Bethany Rothery worked in the science department at Grantham College, taking a particular interest in forensics.

Work experience co-ordinator Helen Blakey said: “It was a very successful year with all the students thoroughly enjoying the experience.

“Feedback from employers and students has been very positive.”
