Four staff members from Grantham Additional Needs Fellowship will be cycling 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise valuable funds for extracurricular activities for the pupils they teach.
They have been training since last autumn and are now only a month from embarking on their journey. The staff taking part are Ollie Maltby, PE teacher, Ashley Caress, teacher in charge of health and safety, and Virsco coaches Toby Ellis and Matthew Page.
Ollie said: “I decided to take on this challenge because the children I teach face challenges every day and they have inspired me to face a challenge of my own.”
GANF comprises of two Grantham-based schools, Ambergate Sports College and Sandon School. They cater for children between the ages of three and 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
#TeamGANF will be setting off on Saturday, July 23, from John O’Groats with the goal of arriving in Land’s End on July 30.
