A PRESTIGIOUS award has been handed to Bottesford Primary School in recognition of its work to make children aware of the wider world.
The school received the International School Award from the British Council. The award aims to celebrate, develop, recognise and accredit outstanding practice in the international dimensions of teaching and learning.
Headteacher Louise McGrory said; “We are thrilled with the award as it recognises the work we do to develop the knowledge of our young learners about the world they live in.”
Bottesford Primary School was one of 983 schools accredited across the country in 2010.
The award is also available worldwide in countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Lebanon, Cyprus and Pakistan as part of the British Council Connecting Classrooms programme.
