MP Nick Boles not only met youngsters at Little Gonerby Infant School last week, he also got to shake hands with Wesley the bear.

Wesley is the mascot for Interact, a music software package created locally and used in primary schools to teach pupils cross curricular lessons in an innovative and fun way.

Mr Boles paid a visit to two classes at the Grantham school on Friday, to see the software in action. During the lesson, the pupils learned how to compose music through literacy and numeracy.

Jeana Hopkins is a creator behind Interact. She said: “He was very impressed with what he saw.”
