Students at Grantham College have been celebrating their A-level and BTEC results.
Ninety-five per cent of students studying A-levels have passed, which is a two per cent increase on last year.
Tracey Lamb, an Olympic torchbearer last year, was understandably pleased with her three As. She will be going on to study sport at the University of Nottingham Trent.
Daniel Garrett was also pleased with his three Bs, which means he will be able to study marketing at Sheffield Hallam University later this year.
A subject which saw particularly good results was Further Maths, with 66 per cent of students studying the subject achieving an A*.
College principal Linda Houtby said: “Whilst I would like to congratulate all the A-level students and understand the media’s focus on A-levels I am also mindful of the several thousands of young adults and adults who have achieved a qualification of some sort over the last few weeks and months.
“These qualifications are highly regarded by employers and higher education and, increasingly, we are seeing young people make a positive decision to undertake apprenticeships.”
