LOCAL folklore was the basis of a craft session at Grantham Library this week.

Youngsters were invited to go along to the library on Tuesday to learn all about Lincolnshire fens-based The Buried Moon, using materials to create the tale’s mystical Bogarts and Boggles along the way.

Anna Wilson, audience engagement officer for Lincolnshire One Venues, said: “It’s a Lincolnshire folk tale so we wanted to do something to engage children in something from their heritage.

“They’ve really enjoyed it.”

The storytelling and craft session comes ahead of a production of ‘The Buried Moon’ at the Guildhall at 2pm on Wednesday.
