Three cheers for Lisa, Apprentice of the Year

ALL her hard work has won Lisa Brandreth the top title of Apprentice of the Year.

Grantham College student Lisa works as an apprentice at town salon UK Hair and Holistics, where managers praised her “loyalty, enthusiasm and dedication”.

As well as winning the overall award in the Lincolnshire and Rutland Skills Awards, Lisa, from Grantham, also took home the award for Apprentice of the Year - Retail and Commercial Enterprise.

Meanwhile, fellow apprentice Philip Jenkinson, from Grantham, was named Apprentice of the Year - Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies. He works for KA Sensors in Grantham.

College apprenticeship manager Paul Ward said: “Lisa and Philip are fantastic examples of what can be achieved on an apprenticeship programme and I am delighted that the Lincolnshire and Rutland Skills Awards have recognised their hard work, dedication and achievement by selecting them as sector winners.”

In addition, health and social care apprentice Laura Sowerby won the title Young Apprentice of the Year.
