Efforts are raised to prevent suicide on the railways in the Grantham area
Last year the Journal covered a story about two suspected suicides in the same week on the East Coast Main Line in the Grantham area.
The story highlighted the issue of suicide and the numerous occasions in which people take their own lives on the railways.
But the report also highlighted the important work that many people carry out in suicide prevention. These are station staff, the British Transport Police and the Samaritans, as well as members of the public who have intervened to help prevent someone taking their own life.
