Four fire crews together with support vehicles attended an incident at Mid UK recycling centre at Caythorpe last night.

Two crews from Sleaford, one from Brant Broughton and another from Waddington attended with a high volume pump from Grantham and other vehicles at 8pm.

A fire service spokesman said there was light heat damage to a small section of a large recycling waste pile. This was broken up by staff on the site so that firefighters could use a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
