Grantham entertainer to host 90s 'Lockdown Dance Party'

A Grantham entertainer will be hosting a live virtual 90s Dance Party this evening. (Friday)

Dom Degnan will be hosting an online event from 8.30pm, which will include 90s hits and the opportunity to win prizes in 'Dance Hit Bingo'.

The event has attracted attention from as far away as New Zealand, with over 300 members already in the Facebook group.

The party will be streamed using Twitch, with a link posted in the Facebook group which can be found here.

Prizes available at the event currently include a £10 drinks voucher for Chequers & Edward's Bar & Lounge on the first opening night after the lock down and a back, neck and shoulder massage voucher for Peaceful Moments, Massage and Relaxation in Grantham.

Children also have a chance to be included during the live stream, with a competition provided for them. All they have to do is submit a picture or video of them dressed up as a DJ.

Every child that enters will receive a small goody bag, as well as a vote on Friday for the best/most creative photo or video with the winner receiving a medal and a special prize for their mum.

Dom Degnan said: "I am a local entertainer from Grantham and I will be broadcasting a live event on Facebook this Friday evening in the hope of giving the people of Grantham (and beyond) an entertaining and also interactive evening of music, games and prizes.

"I have had a few local businesses donate prizes so far which will go some way to making the event worth watching."
