A winner of the ‘Great Walton Bake Off’ has been announced following the final ‘showstopper’ round at the school last week.

A school spokesman said: “We are delighted to announce we have found the winner of our ‘Great Walton Bake Off’ competitioon.

“The winning recipe was this delicious looking special chocolate brownie baked by Year 7 pupil Esme Nicholson in Belton House – she is a regular at baking and enjoyed the three rounds of the competition.

“Esme defeated all of the other Houses to reign victorious – her showstopper was a brownie in a heart shape with red hearts and a chocolate dipping sauce.”
