FOOTBALL fan Vincent Evans is over the moon to have won a signed Everton football shirt.
Lifelong Everton supporter Vincent, from Bottesford, had entered a prize draw at Barclays bank during the Grantham branch’s football-themed, post-refurbishment event.
He said: “I was asked to enter a free prize draw and to choose which signed shirt I would want, should I win.
“I chose Everton as I used to live in Liverpool and have been a lifelong supporter of the club but never thought I would win.
“Now I have to decide whether to give it pride of place in its presentation frame somewhere in my house or take it out and wear it with pride.”
The bank had invited shoppers to pop into the branch and take a close-up look at the Premier League Trophy, which was flanked by two burly security guards throughout the day.
Branch manager Rachael Richardson said: “We were delighted to have the Barclays Premier League Trophy at the branch, which created a real buzz on the day.
“It’s a great pleasure to offer the opportunity to our customers and football fans in the area.
“Hopefully Vincent will enjoy the prize for many years to come.
“Who knows, if Everton win the title it may become very valuable.”
