FOUR generations gathered in Denton to celebrate their special bond with a party.
Members of the Phillips family held the bash in the village hall, with relatives travelling from homes all across the UK.
Many spent their childhood in Denton, where several still live today.
Forebears of the family John and Louisa Phillips, who passed away in 1971 and 1966 respectively, moved to the village during the First World War and had a family of four sons and three daughters. There are now more than 50 descendants.
Bert Phillips gave a toast during the celebration, and was then joined by his sister May to cut a celebration cake.
Trevor Oliver said: “It was a rare opportunity to get many of the extended family together and it was very much enjoyed by all who attended.”
