Farmer hopes fly-tippers will be prosecuted

A farmer found a heap of waste dumped at the end ofhis lane recently and hopes that the fly-tippers will be prosecuted.

The farmer, who does not wish to be named, lives near Westborough. He reported the fly-tipping to the district council along with some evidence pointing to those who dumped the waste.

He said: “I was really cross because a fortnight ago we had a village pick. We were picking up wrappers from out of the hedgerows and it was all cleaned up. It was all looking nice for spring and then these idiots dump their unwanted goods in my gateway.

Unfortunately it’s an ongoing problem here where we are close to the A1 and we have lots of quiet roads. I am hoping for a successful prosecution.”
