Finalists in the Grantham Journal Business Awards 2019 revealed

After weeks of nominations and entries, we can finally reveal the shortlisted candidates put forward for a 2019 Grantham Journal Business Award.

The high quality of entries this year have made it tough for our panel of expert judges to choose the top three.

Chair of the judging panel Nigel Rivers said: “As always, the judging process to finalise the top three in each category has been an extremely difficult task. There are a lot of hours spent on reading and discussing every application.

“This year we have welcomed some new judges to the team and they have been very surprised by the amount of entrants and the extremely high standards of entries.

“The judges have really had their work cut out for them this year but have finally made their decisions to create the final threes.

“It really goes to show that Grantham has so much to offer in the business world and sometimes it is taken for granted or goes unnoticed.

“That is what these awards are all about. Be it a small or large business or a talented individual, these awards are to recognise you and your contribution to Grantham.

“I would like to congratulate all of the finalists and also thank everybody that has taken the time to enter.

“This awards evening could possibly be the best one yet and I hope to see you there.

“Well done Grantham!”

Shortlisted candidates will now be interviewed by judges from our expert panel and will later be filmed – videos will be shown during the awards presentation on the big night.

Finalists will be invited to the glittering dinner and presentation evening on November 1 in St Wulfram’s Church, our venue for the third year.

They will be met by a Champagne reception and the opportunity to network with sponsors and businesspeople, as they take in the magnificent surroundings inside St Wulfram’s.

They will go on to enjoy a three-course meal with wine on the tables, followed by coffee/tea.

After dinner the awards will begin, hosted once again by the wonderful Melvyn Prior, morning show host for BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

Once all the awards are handed out, an aftershow party will bring the evening to a close.

There are some fantastic sponsorship opportunities still available, that bring with them a host of fabulous benefits.
