Fire crews use cutting gear to release drivers following Grantham road crash

A woman and two men were injured when two cars collided on Grantham Road, Great Gonerby, this morning.

The crash happened at about 5.30am near the Moy Park factory and the road from Stephenson Avenue and along North Parade was closed by police.

Fire crews from Grantham and Corby Glen used cutting gear to remove the roofs of the vehicles and release the drivers.

The collision involved a Honda Civic and a Fiat. A woman in the Honda suffered a broken leg. Two men were also injured and all three were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The road was reopened just after 8am.
