Firefighters attend crash and fire on A1 northbound

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called to two separate incidents on the A1 northbound yesterday.

At 5.37pm crews from Corby Glen and Grantham attended a collision on the A1 northbound at Colsterworth.

Zorb granules were used to soak up fuel on the carriageway, and the firefighters also made one car safe.

Then at 10.44pm a Grantham crew were called to a car fire on the A1 northbound at Great Ponton.

There was light fire damage to the engine compartment.
