Firefighters called out after report of house fire

Grantham firefighters were called out early this morning after a report of a house fire in the town.

The crew was called to the house in Burns Close at 12.25am. The fire was out on arrival. There was light smoke damage to the kitchen and hallway. The crew inspected the damage before leaving.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the cause was accidental.
