Firefighters not needed to free driver after A1 accident at Marston

Grantham firefighters were called to reports of a person trapped this lunchtime after a van came off the A1 northbound at Marston.

They received the call at 12.39pm and on attending found a white Mercedes sprinter van had come off the carriageway into a ditch.

It was reported to Linconshire Fire and Rescue that the driver had been trapped, but on arrival they were found safely out of the vehicle.

No delays or road closures were reported.
