Police in the Park events proves popular

By Grantham Reporter

Grantham’s first Police in the Park event on Sunday proved to be a popular attraction.

The event in Wyndham Park gave Lincolnshire Police a chance to meet Grantham locals.

It also featured Positive Futures, which runs after-school activities, the Army, Police cadets, the Lincolnshire Police Specials, the RNLI, the ambulance service and others.

From 11am until 4pm, police were on hand to give crime prevention advice, bike marking and finger printing.

There were also activities and fun to be had, with guest appearances by police mascots Bobby Bear and new addition Bella Bear.

Grantham councillor Helen Goral called the event: “Great fun!”

Mum Becca Rushby said: “My boys loved it, thank you!”

Dad Mike Weavers added:”Brilliant event, thanks to all who gave up their time to organise and attend.”
