Flats plan for empty offices in Grantham

Have your say

Empty office space and stores at Westgate House in Grantham could be converted into flats.

Century Touch of Grantham have applied to South Kesteven District Council for permission to convert the first floor of Westgate House in Westgate into three self-contained flats.

A further flat is to be created on the ground floor at the rear.

The first floor has been vacant for a number of years and the offices and stores at the rear of the building are also vacant.

Set in the town centre conservation area, the building has had a variety of uses over the years, both residential and commercial. Some sections of the building were originally part of the Fox and Hounds public house.

The four flats would have access to the rear courtyard.

The existing shops in Westgate House will remain.
