In the wake of a series of recent burglaries at village halls and social premises in the Grantham area, Lincolnshire Police are holding a day focused on the crime prevention technique of ‘fogging’ on April 1.

The ‘Fog on the Crime’ day taking place at Grantham Police Station will demonstrate how water vapour or ‘fog’ can be used to engulf a premises in a matter of seconds, hampering and deterring offenders.

Fogging units can be stand-alone or linked to an alarm system, and the company ‘Protect’ will be demonstrating their fogging product at the event.

Throughout the day Crime Reduction Tactical Advisor Sally Picker will be available to provide general advice on crime prevention.

Members of the public, particularly those who own and run commercial or social premises, are invited to attend in order to discuss fogging and other crime reduction methods.

Anyone interested in attending can just drop into Grantham Police Station on Swingbridge Road at any time between 10.30am and 4pm on April 1.
