Football match and fun day to be held in Grantham in memory of Danny Walsh

An annual memorial football match for Danny Walsh will be held on Saturday, July 30, at Harrowby United Football Club.

Mr Walsh died in Grantham in 2013, aged 30, following an incident in Edinburgh Road.

The memorial day will start at 11.30am with a match at noon between Harrowby Teenagers and a team to be named later.

There is a barbecue all day, bouncy castles and slide, Sumo suit games, a ‘name the teddy’ competition, a big raffle, children’s games, ice lollies and more.

At 2.30pm the annual football match between the Warthogs and Longnecks will be played.

Local band Ruff ’n’ Ready will perform from 5pm till late. They will perform outside, weather permitting.

Funds raised will be in aid of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

Entry is free but donations to the air ambulance will be welcomed.
