Four men charged with theft of £50,000 worth of engine parts

Four men appeared at Grantham charged with the theft of £50,799 worth of engines and engine parts, and three with conspiracy to commit burglary.

Jason Day, aged 39, of Canberra Crescent, Grantham, Michael Downey, aged 50, of Moss Road, Cadishead, and Paul Evans, aged 32, of Newbold Road, Barlestone have entered no pleas to the charges of conspiracy to commit a burglary between December 1, 2012 and May 4, 2013 and theft from Autocraft in Belton on May 3 last year.

Stanley Eland, 63, of Kenilworth Road, Grantham, also appeared and entered no plea to the charge of theft.

The case was sent to Lincoln Crown Court, starting on January 5, with all the co-defendants remaining on unconditional bail.
