Fun-filled Independent Retailers Day planned in Grantham Market Place

Local businesses and the community in Grantham are invited to get involved in a fun-filled day of family themed activities, food and crafts to celebrate Independent Retailers Day.

The event is being held in the Market Place, on Saturday, July 4 between 10am and 2pm, and has already attracted businesses, charities and schools. It will provide a range of entertainment throughout the day, showcasing independent retailers and the growing Grantham scene.

Amber Kitching, Go Grantham BID Manager says: “We really hope the people of Grantham will come along, soak in the atmosphere, browse the stalls and enjoy Grantham. This is about creating a vibrant community spirit, something for all the family to enjoy together.”

This event is being run by Go Grantham Ltd, supported by South Kesteven District Council and Lincolnshire County Council, and organised by Coffee Cup Events.

A spokesperson said: “We are delighted with the progress we have made - and the feedback we have had from local businesses so far has been extremely useful.

“The positivity and enthusiasm and desire for improvement has been apparent and we will shortly be in the process of writing a report of our the findings of the feasibility study.”
