Give fishing a try at taster day in Grantham’s Queen Elizabeth Park

An angling taster day will be held in Grantham at the weekend, with people of all ages invited along to give it a go.

Members of the Grantham Angling Association have organised the event, taking place at Queen Elizabeth Park on Sunday, between 10am and 4pm.

A club spokesman said: “Come along and give this most relaxing of sports a try. All age groups are welcome, able-bodied or not.

“We have experienced anglers on hand to show you what to do. All tackle will be set up and ready for you to use.”

Visitors will be able to try various methods, including float fishing, ledgering and pole fishing.

There is no need to book, simply turn up on the day.
