A high-value petrol engine go-kart has been stolen, along with a number of power tools, after a series of garage burglaries in Stirling Court, Grantham.

Between 8pm yesterday, April 7, and 7.30am today a number of external garages were forcibly opened, causing substantial damage to the doors themselves.

The stolen go-kart (pictured) is described as a BIZ go kart with red chassis and black pods. The nearside pod is missing from the kart. It has a red seat and is powered by a 400cc Honda ‘thundercat’ engine.

The power tools taken include a yellow cordless DEWALT drill, two DEWALT drill bit box sets, one green MAKITA site radio, one orange and cream STILH TS400 saw, one blue and black MACALLISTER pressure washer.

The go-kart in particular is very distinctive and would have taken more than one person to move.

If anyone has seen it, or has any information they think could be relevant to the enquiry, they are asked to contact PC Jonathan Smyth at Lincolnshire Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 42 of 08/04/2015.

Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
