A CELEBRITY guest visited cadets at 47F Grantham Squadron to help them brush up on their marching skills.

The star of the television series Bad Lads Army, “Nooky” Nauyokas, visited the squadron to help with their preparations for the remembrance parade.

Nooky spent his early life in Grantham. After leaving the Boys Central School he joined the Army and served for 22 years.

Nooky is now an RAF Sergeant based at RAF Cranwell and in charge of discipline with the officer cadets.

The Grantham cadets usually spend several evenings practising for the Remembrance Sunday parade to ensure they are at their best. Officer Commanding 47F, Gary Allen, said: “Sgt Nauyokas was impressed by the numbers of cadets and coached the cadets in his own unique style. Nooky soon developed a fantastic rapport with the cadets with his humour and wealth of knowledge.”

Nooky agreed to make a further visit to the squadron next year.
