Grantham assault: Man suffers serious facial injury after being attacked in High Street

A man was seriously injured when he was attacked in High Street, Grantham, at the weekend.

The man, in his 20s, suffered an injury to his face in the attack which took place at about 12.30am on Sunday.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to High Street near Cancer Research at 12.25am. One man received a facial injury as a result of a serious attack. A man in his 20s attended hospital and we are investigating this incident of GBH.”

Police cordoned off a stretch of pavement in High Street near Clark’s shoe shop yesterday morning as part of the investigation. Police were at the scene until the early afternoon.

Anyone with information about the attack should call the police on 101.
