Grantham barber Dean to raise money for good cause

A Grantham barber will raise money for a charity next week.

Dean Michniew, who works at Haas Brothers barbers on Cambridge Street, will raise money for Dad’s House over two days starting on Friday, February 22.

Dean, 29, pictured with young customer Carter, said: “This is the anniversary of my dad’s passing. I lost him aged 11. Now nearly 30 and a new businessman in town, it dawned on me that my dad never had the pleasure of taking me to the barbers. I feel it is important for kids to share this experience with their dad.”

Dean, who has a nine-year-old son and three-year-old daughter, said he takes his son so they can have their hair cut together and many dads take their children to Haas.

Dean said on February 22 and 23, children accompanying their fathers will get a free hair cut.

He is raising money for Dad’s House, a charity set up to help single dads.

Money raised from dads who take their kids with them will go to the charity.
