Grantham car fire spreads to garage

Firefighters tackled a car fire which spread to a garage in Grantham last night.

The crews attended the fire in Somerby Grove, Grantham, at 8.52pm.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the fire spread to the front of the garage and was extinguished using two hose reels and breathing apparatus.

The cause of the fire was a mechanical defect. There were no injuries.
