Grantham church prepares for busy Christmas

Grantham’s Alive Church is inviting people from across the town to join it at two special Christmas celebrations in December.

On Sunday, December 6, at 10.30am, the Castlegate church will host a family Christmas celebration. Youngsters from the church will be telling the Christmas story with the help of an organisation called iSingPop. Children and teenagers will learn new songs at an all day rehearsal on Saturday, before performing to the congregation on Sunday morning.

On the following Sunday - December 13 - the church is holding a Carols by Candlelight Service at 6pm with a mixture of traditional and contemporary music.

Both events are free and will be followed by Christmas refreshments.

Jonas Eyles, pastor at Alive Grantham said: “Our family Christmas celebrations have been fantastic fun in recent years and I’m sure this December will be better than ever. The Candlelit carol service is always an atmospheric evening and a real chance to get into the Christmas spirit. We would love to help you celebrate the season!”
