Grantham College pupil named Apprentice of the Year




An apprentice at Grantham College has been named as ‘Accounting Apprentice of the Year’, by the Belvoir central office apprenticeship scheme.

Winning apprentice Adam Egner is now looking forward to studying for his level 4 qualifications.

He said: “I went to college to gain my professional qualifications to the highest possible score so for my efforts to be recognised like this is great.

“I’ve already achieved so much throughout my time with Belvoir and really value the opportunity I’ve been given. The experience, knowledge and support I’ve gained from the Belvoir accounts department has been invaluable and I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my career.”

Belvoir also won Employer of the Year in recognition of the support and mentoring the company offers to apprentices.

Finance director Louise George added: “We are delighted that Belvoir has won the BDC Employer of the Year award, which is testimony to the hard work of Belvoir’s HR manager, Janine Cumberland, who has done so much to develop Belvoir’s apprenticeship scheme.”
