Grantham councillor meets Shadow Health Minister to voice A&E concerns

By KentOnline reporter

SOS Grantham Hospital and District chairman Coun Charmaine Morgan met Shadow Health Minister Justin Madders at Westminster last Monday, to discuss concerns regarding Grantham Hospital's A&E department.

Coun Morgan said: "It was a very productive meeting.

"Crucially Justin confirmed that the Labour Party will revoke the controversial Health and Care Act.

"The recent news at Boston also highlighted the need to protect and restore paediatric and maternity services. Improvements to reporting are also needed with current reports failing to reflect the patients experience from when help is first sought to when appropriate medical care is provided."
