Grantham court: Car ended up on its roof after crash

A woman who drank and drove after an argument, overturned her car on a Grantham road.

Emily Ann Addison, 22, of Truro Close, Grantham, admitted drink-driving in Great Gonerby on December 28.

Prosecutor Jim Clare said police attended an accident involving one car on Belton Lane at 10.45pm. Addison’s Renault Clio was on its roof. She was taken to hospital where a blood sample was taken and it was found she was over the alcohol limit.

Simon Cobb, defending, said Addison had left her house after an argument and got into her car. The car had veered one way and as she corrected it, it overturned.She was disqualified for a year, fined £250 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £25.
