Court news.
Court news.

After failing to attend court to answer six charges, including possessing an offensive weapon in the form of a table leg, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 22-year-old Grantham man.

Sam Degnan, who was listed under both Grantley Street and Main Street addresses, is also due to answer one drug possession charge and four alleged driving offences.

Degnan is accused of having the table leg and a quantity of cannabis in his possession on Grantley Street on December 20.

He has also been charged with driving a Citroen Saxo on Harrowby Lane without a licence, third party insurance, a valid test certificate and without due care and attention on November 27.

Prosecutor Tracey Ross explained that a warrant with bail had been issued when the case was last listed in court on January 12, but requested for the bail to be withdrawn in this instance.
