Court news.
Court news.

A driver was stopped at 4.15am when he was spotted by police driving slowly and close to parked cars.

Pawal Rajek, 25, admitted driving without the correct licence and without insurance.

Prosecuting, Shelley Wilson said Rajek was seen in Harrowby Road on the morning of January 17. He told police the car was registered to his mother. He only had a provisional licence and was driving without L plates.

Rajek, who was not represented, had been taking his girlfriend home to the Sunningdale estate. He had told police he did not realise it was an offence to be driving without a full licence.

Magistrates fined him £350 and put six points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £35 and costs of £85.
