Court news.
Court news.

An employee of Environcom has admitted a charge of assault by beating, but must return to court so that a probation report can be produced before sentencing.

Rodney Clive Chappell, formerly of Queensway, Grantham, but now living in Kingswinford in the West Midlands, admitted committing the offence on October 17 in Avenue Road, Grantham.

Mr Chappell said he has been transferred by his company to the site in Stourbridge.

The probation service said a report still had to be produced on Chappell.

Magistrates adjourned the case to March 14 at Grantham Magistrates’ Court for sentencing.
