Two hospital workers were sexually assaulted by a man being treated while drunk, magistrates heard.

Terrence Cooper, 31, of Rudbeck Avenue, Melton Mowbray, was charged with two counts of sexual assault on female staff at Grantham Hospital on January 10.

Cooper was taken to the accident and emergency department at the hospital while drunk. While there it is alleged that he groped the breast of one member of staff and the buttock of another.

A previous psychological assessment ruled that Mr Cooper was incapable of giving a plea so the case was sent to Lincoln Crown Court, where it will be heard on February 9.
