Grantham court: Identity in question

A Leicestershire man has been charged with peverting the course of justice and failing to identify the driver in relation to an alleged speeding offence on the A1 at Barrowby Thorns.

William Fletcher, aged 67, of Morton Walk, Ashby-de-la-Zouch is accused of not providing driver information to police on February 7, and of claiming between February 11 and 13 that his Vauxhall was not on the road when a speed camera was activated on December 31.

Fletcher remains on unconditional bail to appear before Lincoln crown court on March 9.
