Grantham court: Man and woman accused of growing cannabis

A man and a woman appeared before magistrates accused of growing cannabis at a house in Grantham.

Richard Chamberlain, 40, of Harrowby Road, and Susan Lea, 38, of Edward Street, are accused of producing 28 cannabis plants, estimated to be worth between £7,500 and £23,000, in Harrowby Road on September 15, 2014.

Mr Chamberlain is also accused of possessing cannabis with intent to supply and using electricity without authority at his home address.

No pleas were entered. Magistrates adjourned the case to Lincoln Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on September 28. The defendants were granted unconditional bail.
