Grantham court: Men accused of making hundreds of indecent photos of children

Two Grantham men were sent sent to crown court today charged with making indecent photos of children.

Charles Birch, 61, and Andrew Johnson, 40, both of the same address in Queensway, Grantham, face the same six charges all between August 11, 2004, and February 20, 2007, in Lincolnshire.

They are accused of making 46 category A indecent images of a child, making 61 category B images of a child, making 57 category C indecent images of a child, making a category A moving image, making a category B moving image and making a category C still image.

Magistrates adjourned the case to February 15 for a preliminary hearing at Lincoln Crown Court.

Both men were granted bail on condition they did not contact two named persons and were not in contact or in the company of any child under the age of 16 unless supervised by an adult not connected with the inquiry.
