Grantham court: Teens stole booze from shops

Court news.
Court news.

Two teenagers pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol from shops in the Harrowby area of Grantham last month.

Eighteen-year-olds Billy Joe Frazier, of Signal Road, and Curtis Plant, of Vine Street, Billingborough, admitted stealing alcohol worth a total of £34 on two separate occasions from Tesco Express in Harrowby Lane, and alcohol worth £22 from the Co-op in Princess Drive.

Plant was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £28. Contributions to court costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £15 were waived because of his financial situation.

Magistrates asked the Probation Service to carry out a pre-sentence report on Frazier, adjourning the case until January 5. He was released on bail with conditions that he does not enter the Co-op in Princess Drive, or the Tesco Express in Harrowby Lane.
