Grantham dad to take on fun run two years after being crushed at work

A doting father who feared he would never walk again after his leg was crushed at work two years ago, is taking part in a sponsored fun run.

Matthew Rands, of Cromer Close, Grantham, is taking part in the Little Apple Fun Run at South Kesteven Sports Stadium next month to raise money for Dravet Syndrome UK, after his daughter, Ella, was born with the life-limiting form of epilepsy.

It will be a huge challenge for Matthew, who is also dad to one-year-old Daisy, after the incident in September 2017.
