Grantham designer makes fabric koalas to raise funds for Australia bushfire appeal
A small Grantham business owner has raised £1,500 for an Australian bushfire appeal by making a variety of small, fabric koala bears decorations.
Gemma Chadwick, of Hathersage Close, Grantham, came up with the idea after seeing the devastation that the fires have caused to vast numbers of wildlife in Australia, including thousands of koalas.
Determined to help, the 35-year-old designed and created four fabric koala bear decorations to sell through her online design and textile business, ‘jimjam designs’.
