Friends are being invited to a special gathering next month in honour of Stanley James Clark, who died in 2015.

Mr Clark, who died aged 83, was an enthusiastic supporter of local charities. Three charities have been left substantial sums of money by Mr Clark and they will be presented with the cheques on Monday, July 3, at 2pm, on St Peter’s Hill.

The gathering has been organised by Malcolm Sharp, who now lives in Harlaxton, but was a neighbour of Mr Clark’s for more than 40 years in Grantham.

The three charities who have been left big donations are the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, the League of Friends of Grantham Hospital and the Salvation Army. They will all receive cheques on the day.

Mr Clark worked as a mechanic in the town. He also worked as a volunteer at Grantham Hospital for many years.
