Grantham firefighters raise almost £500 for charity from car wash

Firefighters turned their hoses on cars to raise £496 for charity at the weekend.

The Grantham crew set up a car wash at their station on Harlaxton Road on Saturday and raised the magnificent sum for the Fire Fighters Charity.

In a Tweet after the event, the Grantham station said: “WOW! with gift aid contributions we have raised an incredible £496 for @firefighters999. Thank you 4 being so generous.”

The Fire Fighters Charity helps thousands of serving and retired fire service personnel in times of need.
