Grantham gallery to exhibit talented photographers’ work

Later this month a Grantham art gallery will host an exhibition featuring contemporary photography at its best.

On Thursday, January 15, between 7pm and 9pm, Blue Owl Art at Grantham Tennis Club, Gonerby Road, will hold a Preview Night of its Photography: Art Exhibition comprising a range of contemporary photographs.

The exhibition features Adrian Boehm, Wayne Clarke, Amir Ghazi-Noory, Adrian Fretwell, Zabadak Heda, Janine Kilroe, Stuart MacFarlane and Belinda Thomas.

Running in tandem is Grantham In Focus Competition, showing photographs taken within a five mile radius of Grantham as well as a Tennis Competition category with a prize of free tennis membership for a year.

The majority of the work in the exhibition and competition is offered for sale and will feature a wide range of styles including hand tinted fine art photographs by Janine Kilroe; abstract photography; landscape photography taken through the travels of Adrian Fretwell and action shots from the Chief Photographer of Arsenal Football Club.

The exhibition will run for three months and be open seven days a week. The gallery is run by Belinda Thomas and Jette Rasmussen and this is their third exhibition since the tennis club opened in May .

The gallery is gaining a loyal following of art lovers around the East Midlands who also come to visit and buy from the range of unique handmade contemporary craft work designed and made by artists for sale in the display cabinet located in the café area.

Artists they stock include Kate Barker, Andrew Berwick, Hazel Ellerby, Craig Fellows, Janie Knitted Textiles, Rachel Jones, Sheila Kerr, Katharina Klug, Gill Pottle, Kathryn Price, Charli Robinson, Perin Towlson and Sarah Turner.

They also stock a range of hand designed/made cards.
