Keep those nominations coming in for the Grantham Journal Business Awards 2018!

By Grantham Reporter

Two weeks ago we launched the Grantham Journal Business Awards 2018 and already we have been inundated with nominations for local businesses and businesspeople.

The awards have grown year on year and last year’s event was arguably the best yet with the new venue of St Wulfram’s Church making a magnificent backdrop.

We are returning to St Wulfram’s Church this year for our awards to be held on Friday, November 2.

This gives local businesses, big and small, the chance to shout out about their successes in the past year and celebrate their achievements and the efforts of their staff.

Readers can nominate too - you may have been impressed by customer service, been ‘wowed’ by a meal in a local restaurant or feel an independent retailer deserves special recognition.

There are 12 categories in all with a new one added to this year’s list of awards - Best New Start-up - which will recognise the achievements of a local business which has been in existence for up to three years.

This will be the second time that the awards have been held since the Journal was bought by Iliffe Media, a family owned group which invests in and focuses on serving the local community.

Each nominee/entrant will receive an application form to fill in and return. A panel of judges will consider all the applications and draw up a shortlist of three for each category, all of whom will be invited to the awards ceremony in November.

The awards will be presented at a magnificent dinner and presentation evening in St Wulfram’s.

Guests will arrive to a Champagne reception with canapes, before sitting down to a three-course dinner. The awards presentation will follow, to be presented by BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenter Melvyn Prior as compere.

There will be an aftershow party to dance the night away.

Tickets to the Grantham Journal Business Awards 2018 will cost £65 per person plus VAT. We will keep you posted.
