Grantham Journal caricature: Racing car driver Olly Allen

Olly Allen is a saloon racing car driver from Grantham.

He owns ORA Motor Services in Inner Street, Grantham, and is a multi-title holder in the Ford Saloon Car Championships.

He currently drives in the Burton Power Blue Oval Saloon Series for classic Fords and drives a 230hp Ford Fiesta.

His current season consists of 16 rounds of racing at eight double-header meetings. Recently he dominated the last two meetings of the series winning four rounds of the championship at Brands Hatch and Pembrey.

2014 was a comeback year for Olly who took several years out of racing to spend time with his three small children.

Olly is part of team including his dad Phil and mechanics Liam Berry and Chris Nettleton. The team is sponsred by Peter Lackey, EMS and Xtralis.

His next race is at Snetterton on September 18 and 19.
